Daily news (June 5): Shovel Knight / Atelier Ryza

Today’s Daily news: development update for the remaining Shovel Knight content, but also…

  • Atelier Ryza
  • Hori
  • Tool Assisted Speedrun

Shovel Knight

Back in February, it was announced that all the remaining content for Shovel Knight (including the King of Cards expansion and Showdown) was delayed to an unspecified date. We haven’t heard from Yacht Club Games since then, but fret not: they’re still hard at work!

In the latest development update post, the developers explain that they’re in the final stretch, but that they will not give a new release date until “every last bit is done, tested, and submitted”. If you want to know what they have been up to development-wise, click here to check out the post!

Here’s a couple of video clips and some screenshots:

Shovel Knight: King of Cards and Shovel Knight: Showdown (Switch) do not have a release date yet.

Atelier Ryza

This week, Atelier Ryza will be featured in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine. The article will have details about the 3 characters that are friends with the protagonist, as well as an interview with the producer (about the main concept, character design, and the focus on graphics).

Here’s the preview pictures from Famitsu:

The latest issue of Famitsu magazine comes out on Thursday in Japan (effectively later this morning/afternoon in North America and Europe respectively).
