Curve Digital have announced that Hotshot Racing will be released on September 10th in Europe and North America, for 19.99€ / £15.99 / $19.99.
Here’s the latest trailer, alongside some more details, the list of game modes, and some screenshots:
Developed by racing game veterans Lucky Mountain Games and Sumo Nottingham (Outrun 2, Sonic and SEGA All Stars Racing Transformed), Hotshot Racing is an all-new driving experience which revives the classic arcade gameplay of the 90s and thrusts it into the modern era. Featuring sharp retro visuals, sleek 60 frames per second gameplay on all platforms, multiple single player championships, 8-player online game modes and 4-player local split-screen play, Hotshot Racing is sure to appeal to both veteran racers and those looking for a more casual pick-up and play experience.
- GAME MODES – Time Trial and Grand Prix modes cater to those who like to compete in classic racing formats, while ‘Cops and Robbers’ and ‘Drive or Explode’ modes offer exhilarating new ways to play. Each mode is available in single-player, four-player split-screen and eight-player online, while Time Trial is single-player only. Single-player modes run at a blistering 60FPS to deliver one of the fastest depictions of racing possible. Smash lap records to rise-up the global online leaderboards or download ghost laps to match your racing lines against the very best.
- THE CIRCUITS – 16 racing circuits provide the twists, turns and straights conducive to searingly quick racing. Take in coastal, jungle, alpine and Las Vegas desert environments, with each course modelled with the most vivid colours and blue skies for miles.
- MEET THE HOTSHOTS – Keiko, Xing, Mike, Alexa, Aston, Toshiro, Marcus and Viktor – eight speed addicts that have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of being the greatest racing driver in the world.
- CATCH THE DRIFT – Drifting is crucial in Hotshot Racing. Boost charges as the player drifts, so maintaining it for as long as possible is vital to preserving maximum speed throughout a race.
- DRIVE OR EXPLODE – In this mode each car has a bomb attached to it. Drop below a certain speed and BOOM! The trigger speed gets faster and faster, forcing players to maintain impossibly high speeds.
- COPS AND ROBBERS – Robbers evade the cops. Cops catch the robbers, and in doing so convert them to the police side, leading to an exciting test of skill for the surviving criminals.

Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy
Koei-Tecmo have shared some more details for Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy, this time focusing on exploration, synthesis, and some new and returning characters:
In Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy, Ryza departs her peaceful hometown of Kurken Island to visit the bustling Royal Capital of Ashra-am Baird, setting up her own atelier shop while exploring the ancient ruins of the land. To uncover the mysteries that lurk within the ruins, Ryza will need to traverse her environment in entirely new ways — swinging, climbing, crawling, and even squeezing her way past a variety of obstacles. While some of these abilities may come easy to her, she’ll need the help of the mystical ‘Emerald Band’ to allow her to swing across treacherous gaps, while the remarkable ‘Air Drops’ allow her to dive underwater as Ryza looks to uncover areas with a wealth of materials perfect for synthesis.
Synthesis is a key part of Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy, as it allows Ryza to take the raw materials she finds in the field and craft them into incredibly useful items for battle, gathering and exploration. The ‘Linkage Synthesis’ system from Atelier Ryza has evolved with greater depth, enabling players to simply fill the Material Loops with the required ingredients to create everything from weapons and tools to medicine. In addition, the newly introduced ‘Essence’ feature now allows players to alter the elemental trait of an item during synthesis, and by altering the essence of a Material Loop the final item can take on brand-new qualities. The “Evolution Link” takes things a step further, as players will now be able to combine two fully synthesized items together and, depending on the items thrown into the mix, might uncover an extraordinary new item.
While running her atelier, Ryza will reunite with her childhood friends Tao and Bos, while also meeting up with some new companions including the kind but reserved, Sherri Glaus; the aristocrat daughter studying under Tao, Partricia ‘Patty’ Abelheim; Patty’s father and ex-knight to the royal family, Volker Abelheim; and the part treasure hunter part thief, Clifford Diswell.
Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy (Switch) comes out on December 3rd in Japan, and in January in Europe and North America.

Sword of the Necromancer
Here’s some more details for Sword of the Necromancer, along with a couple of screenshots:
Sword of the Necromancer casts players in the role of Tama, a former rogue determined to resurrect her charge, the priestess Koko, who she swore to protect along her pilgrimage. This brings Tara to a legendary crypt that’s rumoured to hold the power to raise the dead.
It’s here where Tara obtains the sword of the necromancer, a cursed relic that can resurrect dead monsters… and turn them into allies in the process. Every enemy you defeat can be transformed into a companion, so it’s up to you how to amass your beastly party.
In addition to monsters to recruit, Tama can also fight using a large variety of weapons, ranging from swords to spears to bows. Nothing lasts forever though, as every time you die you lose all your gear of half of your level. Or you could maintain your gear at the expense of losing all of your level. The choice is yours! And if you’re really feeling adventurous, Tama can clone herself, allowing for a friend to jump in for some two-player local co-op.
Sword of the Necromancer (Switch – eShop) does not have a release date yet.
