Daily Briefs (Apr. 24): Fire Emblem Echoes / Bravely Second / Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Today’s Daily Briefs: latest trailer for Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, but also…

  • Bravely Second: End Layer
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • Tool Assisted Speedrun

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia

On Saturday, Nintendo uploaded a new trailer for Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. This one is basically the English version of the overview trailer, detailing and showcasing the main features and elements of the game. It doesn’t reveal anything (not that there is anything left to reveal at this point… the game is already available in Japan!), but it’s definitely worth watching!

Here’s the “A Master Class in Strategy” trailer for Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia on Nintendo 3DS:

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia (3DS) comes out on May 19th in Europe and North America.

Bravely Second: End Layer

Bravely Second: End Layer was released on April 23rd, 2015, which means that yesterday was the game’s second Anniversary. Tomoya Asano (Producer) sent a message on Twitter revealing the game had sold over 700 000 units worldwide. He didn’t give a regional breakdown of those sales, unfortunately.

Bravely Default ended up selling over 1 million units worldwide, so Bravely Second ended selling significantly less than its predecessor. This is not surprising for a sequel on the same platform, especially with a certain “plot twist” in the original that soured many a player.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Here’s some pictures of the Real Action Heroes figure of Link from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, releasing later this year in Japan (price: 32,184):
