Azure Striker Gunvolt 3: save bug impacting Ver. 1.0.2; patch on the way

Last week, Inti Creates released a Software update for Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 (Ver. 1.0.2), which added a handy feature that allows players to transfer their save data from the newly released demo version. Unfortunately, that update came with an unexpected “extra feature”: a bug that can corrupt your save data.

Here’s how it occurs: when you delete a save file from the file select screen, and then proceed to change the settings or language options from the title screen, this will cause the last played save slot to read incorrectly. If this occurs and you then start the game from this slot, saving the game (either manually or via the auto-save feature) will cause the save slot to become corrupted.

The developers at Inti Creates are already aware of the bug and currently working on a patch to fix it. In the mean time, there’s a workaround for players who want to avoid this issue:

  • if you ever find yourself in the situation described above, make sure to close the game BEFORE auto-save kicks in (which can occur when changing settings) and corrupts the save data slot
  • relaunch the game and you can keep playing normally.

Now, if a save data slot has already been corrupted by this bug, you can “fix” it by simply deleting the save data on that slot, or by copying a save data file from another slot to the corrupted slot. Alternatively, you could simply avoid updating to Ver. 1.0.2 until the new update is live (but that would prevent you from transferring save data from the demo).

Information about the upcoming Software update to fix this issue will be added to this page as soon as it’s live.
