  • When passing a shutter, the game will now proceed without waiting for the Thunder Beast to catch up.

Adjustments
  • The limit for Kudos that can be earned while using GV has been increased.
  • The rate of fire for Gunvolt’s darts has been adjusted.
  • Skill Image Pulses will now end automatically whenever a cutscene is triggered on mission “Another Sun.”
  • The cancel button sound effect on the menu in D-nizer Mode has been changed.
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue that could cause an application crash when defeating a boss on mission “Karma.”
  • Fixed an issue in D-nizer Mode where the Desert Base mid-boss “Aspis” wouldn’t show up.
  • Fixed an issue where Kirin would continue to spin after using Ressen Slash on certain terrain on mission “Another Sun.”
  • Fixed an issue where players would be returned to an area with no footing after falling into a hole.
  • Fixed an issue where performing an Arc Chain immediately after pressing the Talisman button, then letting go of the button following the Arc Chain, would cause a Talisman to be launched.
  • Fixed an issue where the Chain Bonus continued if the player presses the jump button at the same time Kirin lands.
  • Fixed an issue where the reduced landing speed following an Arc Chain remained as such even after landing.
  • Fixed an issue in D-nizer mode where D-nizing on mission “Another Sun” and then beginning the boss fight causes issues with player input.
  • Fixed an issue where DLC Image Pulses were not included in the conditions to trigger special animations.
  • Fixed an issue where equipping the DLC Passive Image Pulse “Shiron (Masked)” caused a massive boost to the player’s Chain Bonus.
  • Fixed an issue where players would earn Kudos when attacking the siren during enemy rushes.
  • Fixed an issue where players would earn Kudos when attacking barriers deployed by barrier robots.
  • Fixed an issue where the camera would fail to keep up with the player in Old Capital Temple area 2, making it less likely to occur.
  • Fixed an issue where the player would become invincible should Kirin’s Warden Flash be used on Cayem’s “Get Back Here!” attack.
  • Fixed an issue in D-nizer Mode where Gunvolt could continue to take damage during the cutscene for Anthem.
  • Fixed an issue where Story Mode+ continued even after pausing during parts of Downtown Christmas.
  • Fixed an issue where switching back to Kirin following a successful Voltaic Buster caused enemies to remain locked in place.
  • Fixed an issue where GV would remain floating if his footing disappears while using Concentration.
  • Fixed an issue where using Arc Unleash the moment Lumen appears for one of her songs will cause her to duplicate upon defeating a boss.
  • Fixed an issue where GV could get stuck in the wall following a Spark Dash while fighting the mid-boss “Recreation Room.”
  • Fixed an issue where certain menu text was displayed in Italian when the language is set to Portuguese.
  • Various other issues have also been fixed.

Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 – Ver. 1.1.0

  • Patch notes:
New Features
  • A new feature, “XX Trigger,” is now available to unlock Kirin’s power to play as “Kirin XX.”
  • A new game mode, “D-nizer Mode,” is now available to select from the title screen.
  • The difficulty mode is now displayed on the results screen.
Adjustments
  • Players will always receive at least one new Image Pulse if possible when earning Image Pulses.
  • The effect of Passive Image Pulse “Azure Striker” ASIMOV has been strengthened.
  • The effects of the Passive Image Pulses CARRERA and “The Magnetic Avarice” CARRERA will now activate in “very hard mode.”
  • When using the Passive Image Pulse “Primal Dragon” GUNVOLT, players will now earn Fetters Gauge when defeating mid-bosses and bosses with SP Skills.
  • Players will now earn a small amount of Kudos when failing to defeat non-boss enemies with lock-on damage from talismans.
  • GV’s Flashfield now deploys sooner after stopping his Electric Discharge.
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where save files could become corrupted when changing settings after deleting a different save file.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the game to close unexpectedly when fighting Cayman.
  • Fixed an issue where players could fall out of bounds on the missions Pendulum Heart and Sand Storm.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause Kirin to fly out of bounds during the Serpentine fight, causing a soft lock.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause a soft lock when using the Skill Image Pulse SISTINA under certain conditions.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause a soft lock when holding certain inputs while landing on thin platforms.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause a soft lock when defeating a boss while Kirin hits 0 HP and gains a level simultaneously, subsequently rendering the player unable to destroy Hexapyles.
  • Fixed an issue where upgrading some Image Pulses (Apollo, Shiron, Serpentine, Asimov, and Copen) would fail to increase their damage.
  • Fixed an issue where the Passive Image Pulse “The Full Metal Jacket” GIBRIL would increase the damage of talismans even when not at low HP.
  • Fixed an issue where Skill Image Pulses could be activated during boss special attack cutscenes.
  • Fixed an issue where player health would recover unexpectedly when clearing a Hexapyle with a Passive Image Pulse equipped that increases max HP.
  • Fixed an issue where certain types of grounded Skill Image Pulses could not be used in places during the mission Pendulum Heart.
  • Fixed an issue with the behavior or Chain Fire Lamps when GV activated them while air jumping.
  • Fixed an issue where the Flashfield Barrier would do damage to enemies during GV’s SP Skill cutscene.
  • Fixed an issue where berserk GV could not activate SP Skills while floating.
  • Fixed an issue where berserk GV would lose invincibility temporarily when performing Lightning Assault repeatedly.
  • Fixed an issue where Sistina’s attack position would be off after getting knocked back at certain times.
  • Fixed an issue where bosses would continue moving if Anthem activated immediately after a boss was defeated.
  • Fixed an issue with the traditional Chinese display of Kirin’s SP Skill name while fighting B.B. in certain conditions.
  • Fixed an issue where GV’s SP Skill display would not appropriately match up with certain language combinations.
  • Fixed an issue with the English text on some of Lumen’s Kudos Song Image Pulses.
  • Various other issues have also been fixed.

How to download updates for Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Azure Striker Gunvolt 3, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
