Arcade Archives Tank Battalion releasing this week on Nintendo Switch

Hamster has announced that the latest Arcade Archives release on Nintendo Switch is Tank Battalion. It’s a multi-directional shooter originally developed and released on Arcade by Namco back in 1980 in Japan, and release by GamePlan in 1981 in North America. On Nintendo Switch, it will launch on March 7th and it will cost 6.99€ / £6.29 / $7.99 / 838 Yen. The Japanese version will offer an English language option.

Here’s a trailer, some details, and some screenshots:

Players take control of a tank and fight to protect their HQ from enemies in this predecessor to “BATTLE CITY” and “TANK FORCE.” You get more points for taking down enemies at close range, head-on, making risky attacks the key to attaining high scores.

Arcade Archives Tank Battalion (Switch – eShop) comes out on March 7th worldwide.
