The Alliance Alive: new video showcases Talents

Today, FuRyu uploaded a new video for The Alliance Alive, its brand new JRPG on Nintendo 3DS. This time around, it’s one of the gameplay systems that’s introduced: Talents. Thanks to those, characters can get various bonuses in battles, but also on the field as you can see for yourself in the video below.

Naturally, characters need to learn those Talents first (which is done from the menu screen), and this requires some points (the amount depends on the Talent). Getting those precious points is pretty straightforward: you need to take part in battles. Simple as that!

What’s more, the developers also thought of players who don’t want to grind to keep all their characters at the same level: those who don’t take part in battles get the same amount of points as those who do. Oh, and those who join your party later in the game? They start with the same amount of points as the total of points accumulated by all the other characters up until that point.

There are various Talents to be found in the game: one allows you to get one SP back at each turn during battle, another makes sneaking past enemies in the field easier, and there’s even one to lower the price of all items in shops.

Here’s the latest video for The Alliance Alive, showcasing Talents:

The Alliance Alive (3DS) comes out on June 22nd in Japan.
