NEW CONTENT
Cartman’s Crash Out LTE
- From January 22 at 4 PM PT to February 5 at 4 PM PT, jump into the Cartman’s Crash Out limited-time event and complete Challenges to score new Certified Toppers, and the animated Cheesy Poofs Octane Decal.
CHANGES AND UPDATES
Expanded Preset Slots
- We’ve expanded preset slots from 50 to 75, giving room for more custom combos! Mix and match items and turn them into ready-to-go rides.
Champions Field update
- To honor and celebrate the 2025 RLCS 3v3 champions Atomic, BeastMode, Daniel, and Satthew — and the 1v1 champion Nwpo — banners for them have been added to the Champions Field Arena.
Skip New Player Tutorial
- Players who have already completed the introductory tutorial will no longer be forced back into it when playing on another platform for the first time (excluding Xbox).
Nintendo Switch 2 Rendering Enhancements
- We’ve made a series of visual and performance improvements for Rocket League on Nintendo Switch 2.
- Simplified Graphics Settings
- The Performance/Quality toggle has been removed, as Rocket League on Nintendo Switch 2 now uses the best of both settings.
- Improved Resolution
- Docked mode: Resolution is now locked at 1080p, 60 FPS in docked mode.
- Handheld mode: Dynamic resolution now targets 1080p at 60 FPS, but will still reduce resolution as needed to keep gameplay smooth.
- Visual Quality Upgrades
- ncreased world detail
- Higher texture quality in handheld mode, matching docked mode
- Crisper texture detail with increased anisotropic filtering (reduces jagged lines and blurry edges on surfaces)
- Improved lighting effects
- Ambient occlusion
- Higher-resolution shadows
- Simplified Graphics Settings
BUG FIXES
Visual
- Fixed taillight brightness appearing inconsistent across multiple Car Bodies.
- The Heatwave Decal now displays correctly on Lamborghini Urus.
- Fixed an issue where the RLCS ’25 and RLCS ’26 Decals appeared stretched on the hood of the Fennec ZR-F Car Body.
- Fixed an issue where the Chanoir Octane Decal could override the Car Body’s painted trim.
- Fixed an issue where the large screens in Champions Field could display distorted visuals.
Audio
- Fixed an issue where BMW M4 GT3 Evo’s engine audio was louder than intended.
- Fixed an issue where the Patty Wagon Car Body used the incorrect engine audio during gameplay.
- Fixed an issue where sound effects for the Hologlass Goal Explosion could cut off when triggered during gameplay.

How to download updates for Rocket League on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2?
To download updates for Rocket League on Nintendo Switch, you have three options:
- let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off
If not…
- try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;
OR
- select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.
To check that you have the latest version installed, press either + or – to go to the Options page. The version number is displayed right under the game’s title.
