Zelda: Twilight Princess manga to have 4 volumes, 1st one in November in Germany

Yesterday, during a panel at Otakon, VIZ Media announced they had licenced the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess by Akira Himekawa. They are going to release the very first volume in in English next year, in March 2017 to be more precise. Good news for German readers: they won’t have to wait nearly as long!

Tokyopop has announced that they would release the first volume of the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess manga in German on November 17, and that it would cost 6.50€.

And here’s two preview pages:

But that’s not all: they revealed something that wasn’t previously known: the manga itself will have a total of 4 volumes. Since the first volume came out roughly 5 months after the first chapter (on June 24th), we can calculate that the 4th and final volume will be published after September 2017 in Japan. Of course, that’s nothing but speculation on our part!

Right now, the manga is on hiatus until September, as the authors want more time to think about how to progress with the story.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess manga will also be released in French and Spanish, but the publishers for those two languages haven’t announced anything yet.

Back to Germany, Tokyopop also announced that the first volume of The Legend of Zelda: Perfect Edition (German equivalent of the Legendary Edition in English), which is for Ocarina of Time (with both volumes in one), would also be released in German on November 17th. It will be more expensive: 14€. As mentioned previously, this re-release includes colour pages, a new cover, a bigger format, and more.
