Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice
Last week, Capcom announced that Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney would be released on September 8th in Europe and North America. To prepare for this launch, fans can read the first two blog posts from the developers over at Capcom Unity. In case you’re wondering: yes, those are the very blog posts that were previously shared in Japanese on the game’s official website in Japan.
The first two blog posts are the following:
- The Theme of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice (Takeshi Yamazaki, Director)
- Writing AA: SoJ – The Secret Process Revealed! (Hironoa Fukuda, Writer)

Talking of Ace Attorney interviews, we strongly invite you to check out Gyakuten Saiban Library, where Ash (who often helps us with translations!) regularly translates various interviews. Gyakuten Saiban: Sono “Shinjitsu”, Igiari!
On Saturday, the 19th episode of the Ace Attorney anime series (Gyakuten Saiban: Sono “Shinjitsu” Igiari! ) aired in Japan. Called Turnabout Big Top — Second Trial, it’s now available on Crunchyroll. As usual, Yomiuri TV uploaded the preview for the next episode on YouTube shortly after. Titled “Turnabout Big Top — Final Trial”, it will air next Saturday, on August 20th (at the usual time: 5.30PM JST).
At the end of the previous episode, Phoenix Wright formally accused Acro of the murder of Russell Berry, the ringmaster. But obviously, there’s more to this story than meets the eye: how could Acro kill the very man he considered as his father? And how are the events of 6 months ago tied to this murder?
Here’s the preview for the 20th episode of the Ace Attorney anime series, “Turnabout Big Top — Final Trial”:
Finally, according to Video Research, the 18th episode of the Ace Attorney anime series (which aired on August 6th) was the 8th most popular anime series that week, with an Average Household Rating of 4.3.
