Yu-Gi-Oh! Saikyou Card Battle: first trailer, screenshots, new character

Yu-Gi-OhLast week, we learned from leaked scans from V-Jump magazine that Yu-Gi-Oh! Saikyou Card Battle would be a Free 2 Play game, and that it would be released on July 6th in Japan. Now that the magazine is available, Konami has updated the official website for the game, and revealed the very first trailer for the game.

The trailer introduces the characters, the card battles (with 3D monsters for certain cards), the Legendary Duelists, and more. It also confirms that the game will have multiplayer!

Here is the very first trailer for Yu-Gi-Oh! Saikyou Card Battle:

The website also provides additional details about the game, and reveals you get new cards by winning battles. You then create strong decks, which then allows you to take on stronger duelists.

As for Guide-san (a character who guide you throughout the game), the screenshot on the website shows you can access the following options by talking to her:

  • Receive present (most likely for online distributions)
  • I want new decks (to buy new decks of cards)
  • I want new cards (to buy new cards)
  • Tips
  • DLC Shop

We can also see Golden Coins at the top of the screen, and tickets at the bottom, but it’s not clear what those are used for.

A new character is also revealed on the website: Anzu Mazaki, which is one of the Legendary Duelists (famous characters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! series).

Finally, the website and the trailer mention a special campaign, which allows players who clear the game to get a real Blue-Eye card.

Here’s screenshots from the official website:
