Yo-kai Watch: the game will be launched on November 6th in North America

Yesterday, Nintendo sent a press release to announce that the Yo-kai Watch phenomenom was finally ready to invade North America! The game, developed by Level-5 and published by Nintendo in the West, will come out on November 6th in North America. Unfortunately, European fans will have to be patient: the game will not launch until 2016 in Europe.

Yo-kai WatchIn the game, players will be able to find over 200 different Yo-kai, mysterious creatures not visible with the naked eye (you need a special watch to see them). They are quite mischievous creatures, responsible for many of the problems happening in your daily life: forgetting homework at home, always being late at school, etc..

Here’s what Akihiro Hino (CEO of Level-5) had to say about the Yo-kai:

When we first started exploring concepts for the YO-KAI WATCH universe, we immersed ourselves in learning about situations confronting kids in their everyday lives. This world – a child’s complicated, scary, confusing, exciting and very funny world – is the foundation of our IP, and the Nintendo game really captures this essence, along with the colorful and often amusing Yo-kai behind it all!

But the Yo-kai Watch game will not come alone: the manga will be launched 3 days before it, on November 3rd (courtesy of Viz Media). As for the anime series, it will debut this Fall in North America, on Disney XD. Finally, Hasbro will launch the first Yo-kai Watch toys in January, and by the end of 2016, will expand to many countries around the world.

Unfortunately, we still do not have any details regarding the launch in Europe. All we know is that the game will launch sometimes in 2016 (courtesy of Nintendo), and that VIZ Media will distribute the anime series in Europe.

Yo-kai Watch (3DS) will launch on November 6th in North America, and next year in Europe.
