Yo-kai Watch 2: bonuses revealed for the physical and digital versions

The very first Yo-kai Watch game came out in November last year in North America, and the second entry is almost ready for release. It will be available from September 30th, and it will get two versions (each with their own exclusive Yo-kai):

  • Bony Spirits
  • Fleshy Souls

And just like pretty much all other Nintendo 3DS games available at retail, players will have the choice between a physical copy and a digital one (from the Nintendo eShop). Depending on the version you chose, you will get a different bonus:

  • retail version: an exclusive Yo-kai medal for Jibanyan. If you scan it in-game, you can unlock a powerful Soultimate move for Jibanyan. The medal you get depends on the version you chose;
  • digital version: you can get an exclusive Yo-kai (either Sailornyan or Robonyan F, depending on the version you chose).

Here’s the updated boxart for Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits / Fleshy Souls on Nintendo 3DS:

Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits / Fleshy Souls (3DS) comes out on September 30th in North America. Unfortunately, we don’t know when this sequel will be released in Europe, but since the first one came out several months after North America, there’s no doubt there will be another delay.
