Xenoblade Chronicles X: character DLC will be included for free in the West, Lin now slightly older

Update

It looks GameInformer made a mistake in their article, as the age of Lin wasn’t changed in the western version of Xenoblade Chronicles X. John Ricciardi, from 8-4 (who handled the localisation), confirmed that she was still 13 in the European and North American versions of the game.

This month, Game Informer is dedicating an article to Xenoblade Chronicles X in its latest issue. Unfortunately, there isn’t anything really new in there, but the article does contain two (or three) interesting tidbits. First, we learn that Lynlee is now called Lin Lee, and that’s she’s slightly older: 15 years old (instead of 13 in the Japanese version).

We also learn that all the character DLC that was released in Japan would be included for free in the North American (and therefore European) version of Xenoblade Chronicles X. Therefore, there will be a total of 16 recruitable characters in the game. For more details about the DLC, please click here! Unfortunately, we don’t know if the additional quests will also be included for free or not.

Also, here’s some details about the Xenoblade Chronicles X Prima Guide, which will be available in Standard and Collector’s Editions:

Deluxe hardcover: The beautiful hardcover edition of the guide will have premium treatments.

Screen cleaner: Includes a high-quality, microfiber screen cleaner featuring art from the game.

Explore everything: Our detailed walkthrough will guide players through all regions of this massive open world.

Customize your gameplay: Learn the best ways to customize your character and Skell to match your playstyle.

Free mobile-friendly eGuide! Includes a code to access the eGuide, a digital version of the complete strategy guide optimized for a second-screen experience.

Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U) comes out on December 4th in Europe and North America.
