Wii U / 3DS: various boxarts (Project X Zone 2, NFC Reader, Pro Yakyuu: Famista Returns, more)

In this post, we’ve rounded-up various boxarts for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games (but also an accessory) that have popped up online in the past few days, mostly on Amazon (United States and Japan).

Yoshi’s Woolly World

North America will indeed get the Yoshi’s Woolly World + Yarn Yoshi amiibo bundle, when the game comes out on October 16th. The boxart for this bundle is slightly different from the bundle sold in Europe:

Also, if you own a Japanese Wii U, you can start pre-loading the game right now, from the Nintendo eShop. But to do so, you will need roughly 7.9GB of free space on your external HDD.

Yoshi’s Woolly World (Wii U) comes out on July 16th in Japan, and October 16th in North America.

NFC Adapter for Nintendo 3DS

On July 30th, Nintendo will release the NFC Adapter for the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL (+ Nintendo 2DS in the West). That way, even owners of those two models will be able to use amiibo figures and cards. It will cost 2 700 Yen.

Here’s a picture of the box, as well as the reader itself:

The NFC Adapter for Nintendo 3DS will be released on July 30th in Japan, September 25th in North America and October 2nd in Europe.

Pro Yakyuu Famista Returns

Announced in Famitsu this week, Pro Yakyuu Famista Returns will be back on Nintendo 3DS this year, on October 8th in Japan. Here’s the boxart:

Animal Crossing amiibo cards

Along with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, Nintendo is going to launch the very first amiibo cards on July 30th in Japan / September 25th in North America / October 2nd in Europe. But it turns out there will be several “waves” of cards, and the second one will be launched on September 10th in Japan. We’ve already seen the packaging for the first wave, but here’s the one for the second wave:

Those Animal Crossing amiibo cards will be launched on September 10th in Japan.

Project X Zone 2

Project X Zone 2: Brave New World will launch on November 12th in Japan, and as revealed in Famitsu magazine this week, there will be two editions:

– regular (7 171 Yen, inc. taxes)
– Original Game Sound Edition, which includes an option allowing you to chose the music from the original games, an exclusive Nintendo 3DS Theme and more (click here for more details!) (10 778, incl. taxes)

Here’s the boxarts for both versions:

Project X Zone 2: Brave New World (3DS) will come out on November 12th in Japan, and Early 2016 in Europe.
