[Japan Expo] Project X Zone 2 delayed to Early 2016 in Europe and North America, 7 minute trailer

Update

Via a trailer uploaded yesterday, Bandai-Namco confirms that Project X Zone 2 has also been delayed to Early 2016 in North America.

Today is the first day of the Japan Expo (the biggest event dedicated to Japanese culture in Europe), which takes place until Sunday, July 5th in Paris. Just like the past few years, Bandai-Namco is present on the showfloor with its own booth, and the usual batch of announcements / updates for upcoming games.

Project X Zone 2

And a few minutes ago, Bandai-Namco uploaded a new trailer for Project X Zone 2: Brave New World, which lasts over 7 minutes. It showcases all the characters (and the series they’re from) which have been confirmed so far, such as Ulala from Space Channel 5, Jill Valentine from Resident Evil, Gemini Sunrise from the Sakura Wars series, and many more.

There’s also details about the new “Mirage Cancel” technique, which allows you to slow down time a bit in order to get a critical hit during your next attack. Of course, there’s a catch: if you mess up your timing, you will lose XP and your attacks will deal less damage.

Unfortunately, the trailer indicates that the game has been delayed in the West, at least in Europe. Instead of Autumn 2015, Project X Zone 2 will now come out in Early 2016. Since the trailer is from Bandai-Namco Europe, and therefore meant for the European market, we don’t know if the delay will also impact North America (we will update this post when we have a confirmation).

In the mean time, here’s the latest trailer for Project X Zone 2:

Head after the break for the Japanese version of the trailer!

Project X Zone 2: Brave New World (3DS) comes out on November 12th in Japan, and Early 2016 in Europe.
