Pro Yakyuu Famista Returns: official website opens, first screenshots and boxart

Four years after the last entry, the Pro Yakyuu Famista series is making a come-back on Nintendo 3DS with Pro Yakyuu Famista Returns. Revealed in Famitsu magazine this week, the game will feature various improved modes (including ranked online matches), but also a brand new “Famista Quest” mode where you will have to go against a team controller by some rather mysterious aliens.

Today, the official website for the game was opened, but it’s pretty empty for now. In fact, the very first screenshots (that you can find below) come from Amazon.co.jp, not Bandai-Namco directly! Those screens show a match, the menu for Ranked Online matches, but also what seems to be a map from the Famista Quest mode.

Also, one of the screenshots shows a menu, where you can select several options:

– Start the match;
– an option for Bandai-Namco’s carddass (cards sold in special vending machines), which implies the game will be compatible with such cards;
– My Card Album (most likely where digital cards obtained through gameplay are collected);
– Season Data (where you can check out the data for your team, for the current season);
– My Team

Here’s the first screenshots and the boxart for the game:

Pro Yakyuu Famista Returns (3DS) comes out on October 8th in Japan.
