UK: video games sales for Week 23, 2016 (June 6 – June 12)

For Week 23 in the United Kingdom, we have not one, but two Nintendo 3DS games in the All-Format chart. One of them is Kirby: Planet Robobot, which came out on June 10th. It landed at #14, which seems like a rather mediocre performance: it sold less than titles released weeks, if not months, before it… Unfortunately, we have no concrete data to see just how well/bad it has sold during its launch week.

Now it remains to be seen how long it will stay in the All-Format Top 40, but if other Nintendo 3DS are any indication, it will not be much longer than a couple of weeks. Naturally, Kirby: Planet Robobot is the new best-seller on Nintendo 3DS, stealing that title from Yo-kai Watch which is still in the Top 40. In fact, it’s now #33, gaining 5 places compared to last week. Is it a sign sales are picking up, retailers are slashing prices, or something else?

On Wii U, the Super Mario Bros. U + New Super Luigi U bundle is still the best-seller, but just like the previous couple of weeks, it didn’t sell enough to chart in the All-Format Top 40 for Week 23.
