Of course, this come as no surprise, as the game was rated by the USK a few months ago, and it even showed up on Amazon and GameFly in the United States.

505Games confirms that both versions will feature touchscreen controls, allowing players to directly interact with the world (for building, fending off enemies, etc.) via the touchscreen. The game will also feature multiplayer:

– Nintendo 3DS: up to 4 players, local wireless only
– Wii U: up to 4 players in splitscreen, using Wii Remotes / up to 8 players online

If you’re heading to GamesCom, make sure to check out Nintendo’s booth, as Terraria will be playable on Nintendo 3DS!
