Taiko Drum Master: Atsumete Tomodachi Dai Sakusen – Details, pics and videos for amiibo

Back in August, Bandai-Namco announced Taiko Drum Master: Atsumete ☆ Tomodachi Dai Sakusen!, the third Taiko Drum Master game for the Wii U. It’s going to be released for the 15th anniversary of the series, and will even get a bundle with the usual Drum + Sticks controller and various goodies.

On the box of that bundle, we could see the amiibo logo, which confirmed that the game would be compatible with Nintendo’s NFC figures. This wasn’t really surprising, as Bandai-Namco is basically the only third-party publishers regularly using amiibo in its games (such as Ace Combat 3D: Assault Horizon Legacy + for example).

And today, Bandai-Namco revealed which figures would be compatible, and what they will do. Here’s the list:

Animal Crossing series amiibo*. They unlock the Animal Crossing medley song (also unlockable via the Mecha-Don Gash), and some elements to use in the Kisekae Shoot mode (a mode where you can take pictures of Don-chan and various other characters and elements).
Pac-Man amiibo. It unlocks the EAT’EM UP! song (also unlockable via the Mecha-Don Gash), and some elements to use in the Kisekae Shoot mode.

* Bandai-Namco doesn’t give the full list of figures compatible, but based on the pictures and the video below, only the Isabelle (figure and card) amiibo are compatible.
