Super Mario Bros. Wonder: Ask the Developer interview, video clips, Yoiko videos, commercial, more screenshots

Ask the Developer is a series of official interviews not unlike the “Iwata Asks” of old. In those interviews, Nintendo developers convey in their own words Nintendo’s thoughts about creating products, and the specific points they are particular about. And the 11th instalment of that series is about Super Mario Bros. Wonder, releasing this week on Nintendo Switch!

The Ask the Developer interview for Super Mario Bros. Wonder features the following people:

  • Takashi Tezuka (Producer – Executive Officer, Senior Officer, Entertainment Planning & Development Division)
  • Shiro Mouri (Director – Entertainment Planning & Development Department Production Group No. 10)
  • Koichi Hayashida (Game Designer – Entertainment Planning & Development Department Production Group No. 10)
  • Masanobu Sato (Art Director – Entertainment Planning & Development Department Production Group No. 10)
  • Koji Kondo (Sound Director – Senior Officer, Entertainment Planning & Development Division)

As always, the interview will be released in several volumes. Here’s those that are available as of writing:

Here’s all the video clips from Part 2:

And here’s the one clip from Chapter 3:

And like they do for some of their releases, Nintendo has prepared a series of video with Yoiko (the comedy duo made of Shinya Arino of Game Center CX fame and Masaru Hamaguchi). Here’s the videos available as of writing:

  • October 18th: Part 1
  • October 19th: Part 2

And finally, here’s another commercial for the game (this time from Nintendo of America):

And as an extra, here’s some more screenshots (courtesy of Famitsu):

Super Mario Bros. Wonder (Switch) comes out on October 20th worldwide.
