Squid Research Lab

Today, the Squid Research Lab posted some more tweets on the official Twitter account for Splatoon. The first one is about Collectible Badge Center (on the Nintendo 3DS), which received some Splatoon badges today.

The second tweet was about the King of Games t-shirts!

Finally, they showed the “gauge”: when filled, the Ranked Battle modes will be unlocked. Now that Splatoon is now officially out in Europe and North America, it’s filling much faster!

Videos and misc.

Finally, it looks like Splatoon is off to a great start in Japan. According to retailer sources, the shipment for first week is around 150k, and about 80% of all units sent to retailers were sold during the first day. Some stores have already ran out of copies, and Nintendo had to send a second shipment already. But it looks like it won’t be enough: the company even apologised for the shortages, and promised new shipments next week.
