Splatoon: SplatNet (web app) now available in English

Splatoon 1Back in August, Nintendo launched a web app for Splatoon in Japan, called SplatNet. Good news for those among you who were a bit lost with everything in Japanese: the app is now available in English! As mentioned previously, it allows players to access various features, provided they log in using their Nintendo Network ID.

SplatNet has four main features:

  • Friend list: allows you to see if any of your friends are online, but also check out who you’re playing with;
  • Rank: allows you to check out your rank in Turf Wars and Ranked Battle. The rankings are reset every Sunday at midnight;
  • Equipment: allows you to check out the equipment you were using the last time you played online. You can also see with which weapons you inked the most territory!
  • Stage Info: allows you to see the current and upcoming maps for both Turf War and Ranked Battle modes.

Also, you can connect your Twitter account, which allows you to have tweets sent automatically when you come online at certain times. Indeed, you can set up Battle Plans, telling your friends at which time you want to play, on which mode, and more. After that, when you come online at the designated time, a tweet will be sent automatically if you activated the option.

As bonus, here’s some previews of the Splatoon artbook, which comes out on Saturday in Japan (courtesy of GameMemo):
