Senran Kagura 2: update on the manufacturing process for Limited Editions

Today, Marvelous Europe shared an update on the manufacturing process for the Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson limited editions. In order to make sure the goodies included are of the utmost quality, the team had to deal with lots of protypes. That includes the Oppai Mouse Pads!

For those prototypes, the manufacturing company is using mere stock images (instead of the official artworks). The staff at Marvelous will then use those mouse pads for a while, in order to ensure that they are comfortable, durable, and don’t have any imperfections.

They also need to weight everything, to make sure the total weight doesn’t exceed the initial shipping estimations… otherwise, things can get really expensive quite fast!  But since the official case for Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson hasn’t been manufactured yet, they’re using the one from the Japanese version of Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven instead.

As for the wall scrolls, the company actually used the official artworks. Marvelous is checking them to make sure they’re of good quality, not too thin, and don’t come with washed-out colours. They also had to pay particular attention to the paper thickness, which has its own separate measurement: this is important for the A2 posters that come with the Limited Editions.

Here’s some pictures of those protypes:
