Runner3 to be released on the Nintendo Switch this Fall, Space Dave also coming later this year

A few months ago, Choice Provisions announced they were working on Runner3, but didn’t mention any platform for it. However, since Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien was released on pretty much all platforms under the sun, it was pretty much guaranteed there would be a Nintendo Switch version, at least later down the line.

But during today’s Nintendo Switch Nindie Showcase, Choice Provisions confirmed that Runner3 would not only be released on the Nintendo Switch, but also announed that it would be a timed exclusive. It will be released this Fall in Europe and North America, and might be getting a retail release (at least, that’s something Choice Provisions would like to do!).

This new entry in the popular Runner series features the following:

  • encounter quests
  • branching paths
  • item shops
  • new Retro Challenges
  • new character moves
  • new dance moves
  • a roster of characters said to be as strange (if not even stranger) than in Runner2!

Here’s the very first trailer for Runner3:

But that’s not all: following the presentation, Choice Provisions announced that Space Dave was also coming to the Nintendo eShop of the Nintendo Switch, later this year (but unfortunately, no trailer was shared).

Both the Upcoming Releases page and the list of confirmed games for the Nintendo Switch have been updated!
