Pokémon Sword and Shield
The latest Pokémon distribution for Pokémon Sword and Shield is now live. Here’s all you need to know about it:

Pokémon GO
32-bit Android devices
Niantic have announced that starting with an upcoming update set to be released in early August 2020, Niantic will drop support for 32-bit Android devices. In other words, unless your device is 64-bits, you will no longer be able to play Pokémon GO at all. You will no longer have access to your account on this device, which includes PokéCoins or items in the Item Bag. To keep playing, you will need to switch to a 64-bit Android device (or iOS).
Here’s some examples of devices that will be impacted:
- Samsung Galaxy S4, S5, Note 3, J2, J3
- Sony Xperia Z2, Z3
- Motorola Moto G (1st generation)
- OnePlus One
- HTC One (M8)
- ZTE Overture 3
- LG Fortune, Tribute
- Nexus 6
- Many Android devices released before 2015
According to Niantic, this change is being made so that the development team can “streamline [their] development process and focus resources on supporting newer operating systems and technologies”.

PokéCoin system
Niantic have announced some changes regarding the current PokéCoin rewards test for Trainers in Australia. The following changes will start to apply once the update is live, and are being made following players feedback:
- The maximum number of PokéCoins earned per day will be 50.
- The number of PokéCoins earned from defending Gyms will be six per hour.
- The maximum number of PokéCoins earned per day from defending Gyms will be 30.
- The number of PokéCoins earned per day from completing the featured activities in the Today View will be 20.

Pokémon Trading Card Game
The Pokémon Company have announced that the next set for the Pokémon Trading Card Game in Japan. It’s called Densetsu no Koudo (lit. Beat of Legends), and it will be released on July 10th.
