Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! / Let’s Go, Eevee!

Earlier this week, Nintendo shared a brand new trailer for Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! / Let’s Go, Eevee!. It doesn’t reveal anything really new, but it does feature some more gameplay footage.

Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! / Let’s Go, Eevee! (Switch) comes out on November 16th worldwide.

Pokémon GO

Yesterday, Niantic announced that the Research Tasks for August will be focused on Electric-type Pokémon, as well as Pokémon from the Johto region. The Pokémon you can get via Research Breakthrough is Raikou!

Also, quick heads up: the Lucky Pokémon feature is now live (following the release of the latest Software update, earlier this week).

Finally, Niantic has announced that Articuno and Zapdos would appear in Raid Battles in Azores from August 3rd to August 10th, due to technical issues that preventes them from appearing during the Articuno Day and Zapdos Day.

Detective Pikachu (movie)

According to Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has taken over distribution for the Detective Pikachu movie, and the company is even taking a stake in it. Concretely, for fans, this… doesn’t change anything. The opening date, May 10th for the United States, remains unchanged.

Pokkén Tournament DX

Earlier this week, the latest Official Group March for Pokkén Tournament DX was announced. Here’s all you need to know about it:

  • Name: Deep Blue Monarch
  • Type: Basic Battle, Fixed Battle Arena
  • Runs from August 3rd to August 5th
  • Time: 3AM PT to 7PM PT / 6AM ET to 10PM ET / 5AM GMT to 9PM GMT / 6AM CET to 10AM CET / 6AM JST to 10PM JST
  • Participation prize: Deep Blue Monarch (title)
  • Ranking Prizes:
  1. Places 1 to 10 – Chrom League Master
  2. Places 11 to 30 – Red League Master
  3. Places 31 to 60 – Blue League Master
  4. Places 61 to 100 – Green League Master

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon – Battle Competition

Yesterday, registration for the latest Battle Competition for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon went live. It’s called the Let’s Go! Cup, and here’s all you need to know about it:

  • Pokémon allowed: Pikachu and Eevee (Pokémon transferred via Poké Transporter are allowed)
  • Pokémon banned: all the others!
  • Battles: Single Battle, only one Pokémon per team;
  • Level: 50 (lowered if above that);
  • Items: no restrictions;
  • Participation prize: mobile size wallpaper (featuring the Pokémon that was selected the most by players)
  • Registration: July 26th to August 2nd;
  • Battles: August 3rd to August 5th;
  • Results announced sometime in August

Pokémon Duel

The latest Gym Cup event is the Water Gym Cup, and it went live today. Here’s all you need to know about it:

  • Runs from July 26th to July 30th
  • Water-type Movement 0, 1, and 2 figures = +1 Movement;
  • Electric-type figures = +20 Attack (for each attack);
  • Gym Boosters available, with the contents increasing with your winning streak.
  • Fan Rotom figure available as reward
  • Trophies will be distributed to qualifying players after the event.

Also, the latest Software update brings a special pack (purchaseable with gems), that includes special figures for Feebas and Milotic. It’s the only way to get them for now, but they will be added to Boosters and Material Exchange in the near future.

Finally, it’s been announced that since launch, Pokémon Duel has been downloaded over 36 million times worldwide!
