Wild Area
The latest Wild Area event for Pokémon Sword and Shield is now live, and runs until April 16th. It features Ditto, Pichu, Togepi, Riolu, and Munchlax, who get to appear more frequently. You get Candy and EV boost items as rewards.

Online Competition
Starting today, the latest Online Competition for Pokémon Sword and Shield is now live: the 2020 International Challenge April. It runs until April 12th, with Casual Tee (Great Ball Guy) as participation prize.

Niantic have announced that two changes impacting the Go Battle League have been extended to May 1st:
- From now until Friday, May 1, 2020—We are removing the walking and PokéCoin requirements to unlock sets of battles in the GO Battle League. If you’re currently in the middle of walking to earn a set, this change will take effect starting with your next set.
- From now until Friday, May 1, 2020—For Trainer Battles with friends, we’ve lowered the Friendship level requirement so you can send battle invites to Trainers who are your Good Friends or Great Friends. Originally, you could only send battle invites to Ultra Friends and Best Friends.
