Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon announced for 3DS (Winter in NA) / Early 2016 in EU)

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon is a spin-off series based on the Pokémon franchise, and inspired by the Mystery Dungeon series. There’s already been 5 games (one on GameBoy Advance, three on Nintendo DS, one on WiiWare and one on Nintendo 3DS), and they’re all dungeon-RPGs featuring randomly-generated dungeons.

Since the very first game (released on both the GameBoy Advance and the Nintendo DS), the various Pokémon Mystery Dungeon titles have sold over 13 million units worldwide.

Today, The Pokémon Company and Nintendo announced that a new game in that spin-off series would be released on the Nintendo 3DS. It’s called Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, and it’s coming out:

– in Autumn 2015 in Japan;
– in Winter 2015 in North America;
– in Early 2016 in Europe.

Unfortunately, we don’t know much about this game, except that players will be able to explore even greater dungeons (still randomly generated). They will also be able to battle alongside Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, in order to save the world.
