Pokémon news (Nov. 20) – Pokémon Shuffle, Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, Gift Pack

Today, several upcoming challenges for Pokémon Shuffle were revealed via the Pokémon Daisuki Club in Japan:

  • Escalation Battle featuring Latios (Nintendo 3DS)
  • Escalation Battle featuring Latias (Mobile)

Unfortunately, we don’t know when they will be available.

Gift Pack

In Japan, Nintendo and Bandai-Namco will release double-packs for several Nintendo 3DS games, next month. It turns out that The Pokémon Company will also release one for Pokémon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire. Its contents, but also the price, will be different from the double pack sold at launch.

Here’s the contents:

  • Pokémon Omega Ruby
  • Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
  • Stickers set (Mega Evolution / Primal Reversions, with Sceptile, Blaziken, Swampert, Latios, Latias, Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza)
  • Compatibility chart

This double pack will be released on December 10th in Japan, and will cost 6 500 Yen (+ taxes). Here’s the packaging and a picture of the extras:

Pokkén Tournament

Now that the Shadow Mewtwo event is live in Japan (on Arcade), we have some additional details about it. Several new “features” are now available:

  • if you manage to beat Dark Mewtwo in Hard mode, you will get a special title: Resonated Legend
  • score: the more you play this event, the more your aggregate score increases. This allows you to unlock new outfits (including one based on Professor Sycamore) and titles
  • Specialised Resonance: your Burst Gauge is boosted each round, even if you lost
  • new player outfits have been added.

Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon

Earlier today, Nintendo revealed the European boxart for Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon (out on February 19th). Unsurprisingly, it’s exactly the same as the one used in Japan and North America.

Pokémon distribution

In Japan, new Pokémon distributions were announced. Thanks to the Pokémon With You Campaign (in Fukushima), players will be able to get a special Pikachu:

  • Level: 99
  • Comes with a Souvenir Ribbo, and holds a Rare Candy
  • Moves: Happy Hour, Play Nice, Hold Hands, Flash

The second distribution will take place from December 12th to December 31st in the Pokémon, and will allow players to get a Shiny Diancie.
