Pokémon Shuffle

Today, The Pokémon Company announced that Pokémon Shuffle has been downloaded over 4.5 million times worldwide, an increase of 500 000 since the last update (4 million on May 25th). It’s been a few months already that Pokémon Shuffle is getting roughly 500 000 additional downloads every month, which is definitely a healthy pace.

And today, a brand new update for the game was released (Ver. 1.2.4), and as usual, you need to use the check-in feature in-game in order to get it. It gives access to:

– Manaphy event, running from June 22nd to July 6th (6AM UTC);
– Pokémon Safari event, which allows you to catch Electrike, Manectric, Darumaka, Darmanitan, and Stantler (you get a different one each time you play this special stage). It runs from June 22nd to July 6th (6AM UTC).

1But it’s not all: the next competitive stage has been announced, and it will feature Mega Manetric. It will run from June 29th to July 6th, and will allow you to get a Manectite if you’re among the top-ranked players. More details (including the requirements for qualifying) will be announced next week.

Finally, the re-run of the Mega Blastoise challenge has ended. If you’re among the Top 15 000 players in Europe, Top 30 000 players in North America or Top 65 000 players in Japan, you will get a Blatoisinite. If you haven’t (or if you already got it the fist time around), you will get jewels instead. As usual, you need to use the check-in feature in-game to receive your reward.

Battle Competition

Registration for the 2015 International Challenge June (Pokémon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire) started last week, and end on Thursday (June 25th). The competition itself will run from June 26th to June 28th, with the following rules:

– Double Battle;
– National Pokédex, with the usual range of Legendary Pokémon banned.

The Top 256 players will get Championships Points, which allows them to qualify for the Pokémon World Championships.

Dragonite distribution

On May 6th, a Dragonite distribution for United States was announced. Good news for fans: this distribution is now live, and all you need to do in order to get your own Pokémon is to get a serial code at one of the many GameStop stores across the country, before July 12th.

This special Dragonite has Multiscale as its Hidden Ability, holds a Lum Berry, and knows the following attacks: Dragon Dance, Extreme Speed, Outrage, and Hurricane.
