Pokémon news (July 27): Pokémon GO Plus / Pokémon Symphonic Evolutions

Today’s Pokémon news:

  • Pokémon GO Plus
  • Pokémon Symphonic Evolutions
  • Shiny Mewtwo distribution

Pokémon GO Plus

Pokémon GO Plus is a Bluetooth accessory developed by Nintendo, which is meant to be used with Pokémon GO on smartphones (it doesn’t work on its own). During the round-table at E3 2016, it was announced that it would be released in late July, which is why most people assumed (correctly) that Pokémon GO itself would launch during that month at the latest.

And in the end, Pokémon GO was released in time… but not Pokémon GO Plus, which has been delayed to September, worldwide. Unfortunately, we don’t have a new release date, and Nintendo didn’t explain why the accessory was delayed. Since it was apparently not supposed to be compatible with Android devices at launch, we can assume this was one of the reasons for the delay.

Shiny Mewtwo distribution

If you participated in one of the Play! Pokémon events during the past year, you can now receive your serial code fora Shiny Mewtwo. You should receive a mail with the code pretty soon (if you haven’t already), and naturally, that code can only be used once (don’t even think of sharing it with your friends)!
