Pokémon news (July 18th) – New Pokémon tease?; Pikachu distribution in Japan, more
New Pokémon?
It looks like the staff was quite playful with the teaser shown at the end of this year’s Pokémon movie. First, we heard from second-hand reports that Zygarde was in that teaser, though a few days later CoroCoro magazine showed another teaser with a shadow that doesn’t really look like Zygarde (it’s extremely likely the second-hand reports were referring to the same thing as the magazine, however).
And today, the 18th Pokémon movie came out in Japan, and it turns out an extra bit was added to the teaser shown after the movie. Apparently, a bright green Pokémon (with an eye bigger than the other) was shown briefly on screen before the picture seen in CoroCoro magazine. We’re not quite sure if this is a brand new Pokémon, a new form, or something else entirely. Serebii has a couple of drawings for that Pokémon: you can see them here!
