Pokémon news (July 12th) – First pictures of the 19th Pokémon movie; 7-Eleven distributions

Pokémon The Movie

This week, we learned from second hand reports that the 19th Pokémon movie, slated for next year, might feature Zygarde (the mysterious legendary Pokémon from Pokémon X and Y). And today, the first scan from the latest issue of CoroCoro magazine has leaked online and… doesn’t really confirm this just yet.

The scan below shows three screenshots from the 19th Pokémon Movie (and more precisely the trailer which is shown right at the end of the 18th Pokémon movie), with a rather menacing shadow: “Is that a new Pokémon?!” asks the magazine, though it’s more likely to be an alternate form of Zygarde (though nothing is confirmed just now).

Here’s the scan from CoroCoro magazine:

Unfortunately, we’re going to have to wait until Hoppa and the Clash of Ages comes out in Japan, on Saturday, before we get the confirmation that Zyngarde is indeed in the 19th Pokémon movie.

7-Eleven distributions

Yesterday, two Pokémon distributions were announced for Japan. If you go to one of the 7-Eleven stores across Japan, with your 3DS, you can get a serial code for a special Pokémon via the 7-Eleven Hotspots. Here’s the Pokémon you can get, depending on when you go to the store:

– July 18th to July 31th: Satoshi/Ash’s Pikachu or Serena’s Pancham (from the anime series)
– August 1st to August 16th: a Latios or Latias.

The code can be used in Pokémon X / Y / Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire.
