Pokémon news (August 17): Pokémon Movie, Pokémon TCG

Today’s Pokémon news: some details about the live-action Pokémon Movie, but also…

  • Pokémon distribution
  • Pokémon TCG
  • Pokémon anime series

Pokémon Movie

Last month, we learned that Legendary had landed the right for a (live-action) Pokémon movie, and that it would be based on the Detective Pikachu spin-off. And yesterday, Variety reported that Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch were in negotiations to write the script for the movie. For those who don’t know, the two previously worked on Guardians of the Galaxy and Gravity Falls.

Since the whole project seems to be in its infancy, we will definitely have to wait quite a while before we get anything concrete regarding that mysterious Detective Pikachu live-action movie.
