On Wednesday, the second update for Pokkén Tournament was released. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the patch for North America (it was most definitely the wrong build which was uploaded to the update servers), but it’s now been fixed. The correct update is now available for download, and is required in order to play online.

Talking of Pokkén Tournament, The Pokémon Company announced yesterday that there would be a Pokkén Tournament Championship Series at Dreamhack Austin, taking place on May 6-8 in Austin, Texas. Players who compete will be able to win prizes, but also invitations to the Pokémon World Championships.

Camp Pokémon

Camp Pokémon is a free app for kids, available on mobile devices, which features fun activities for learning all about the world of Pokémon. Up until now, it was only available on iOS, but it’s not available on Android devices too (via the Play Store or the Amazon AppStore). To download it, you need Android 2.3 or more recent and at least 170MB of free space.

Pokémon Movie

Every year, we get a new Pokémon animated movie courtesy of OLM (already doing the animated series). But could we ever get a live action movie one day? That’s what the Hollywood Reporter seems to believe. According to them, a top-secret auction is about to end, with Legendary, Warner Bros. and Sony taking part in them.

Warner Bros. was apparently one of the favorites (due to them releasing the first three Pokémon movies), but according to a source quoted by the Hollywood Reporter, Lengendary has now emerged as a potential victor. Unfortunately, even if the project does go through, there’s no doubt we won’t get any announcement before a long while.

Pokémon Komaster

Pokémon Komaster is the latest Pokémon app on mobile device, and it was released this Tuesday in Japan. The following day, an update was released: it fixes a glitch that would make the game crash. Naturally, if you’re playing the game, it is highly recommended you download this patch as soon as possible.
