Pac-Man 99 – Ver. 1.1.0

  • Release date: August 4th 2021 (North America) / August 5th 2021 (Europe, Japan)
  • Patch notes:
  • Individual bonuses have been added for obtaining fruit in certain rounds in 99 Mode.
    • Every two rounds, speed is increased by one.
    • Every three rounds, one shield is added.
  • Game balance adjustments
    • Stronger
      • the power up effect when collecting a Power Pellet has been adjusted from 3 to 4.5 seconds.
    • Speed
      • Pac-Man’s movement speed has been increased from 2 levels to 3 levels
    • Train
      • The amount of recoil a Jammer Pac-Man receives upon colliding with a Sleep Ghost has been adjusted from 1/2 to 1/4 the number of collisions.
      • Adjusted the timing for when Killer Pac-Man appears.
  • Waiting time at the start of a game has been lowered from 120 seconds to a minimum of 90 seconds.

How to download updates for Pac-Man 99 for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Pac-Man 99, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
