SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance – Ver. 1.2

  • adds support for SEGA Villains Stage paid DLC

“Hardcore” Mode: 

  • Enjoy an ultra high-difficulty mode featuring various adjustments to gameplay. In addition to changes to damage taken, health regeneration, and enemy placement, new attack patterns have been added for certain bosses. This mode can only be selected when starting a New Game. 

Combat System Adjustment Features: 

  • You can now adjust attack animation duration, flash effects when hit, the intensity of camera shake during combat, and the display of character outlines. 

Added Tutorial View Feature: 

  • You can now review tutorials that have been displayed in the game so far. 

Map Improvement: 

  • We have expanded the viewable area when opening the map within a stage to improve visibility. 

Bug Fixes: 

  • Fixed a bug where Musashi’s position was displayed incorrectly on the map.

How to download updates for SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance on Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
