North America: new Nintendo 2DS colours launching in November, thanks to Luigi

Today, Nintendo of America uploaded a pretty funny video on its Play Nintendo channel on YouTube. It shows Luigi at his desk, when he suddenly gets an email from his brother Mario. Via this video, Nintendo of America announces that two new colours for the Nintendo 2DS will be launched in November in North America:

  • Blue x Black
  • Red x Black

Unfortunately, we don’t have a concrete release date for the new colours, but Nintendo explains that they will gradually replace those already available. And if you’re interested in the “free” copy of Mario Kart 7, no need to rush in order to buy one: the new colours will also include the game. They will also cost $79.99, which is the standard price for the Nintendo 2DS.

Here’s what the two new Nintendo 2DS colours look like:

Right now, it’s not clear whether Nintendo is planning to launch those two new colours in Europe or not. In the mean time, you can check out our updated Upcoming Releases planning!

The Blue x Black and Red x Black Nintendo 2DS models will be launched in November in North America.
