Every year, Satoru Shibata, President of Nintendo of Europe, shares Season’s Greetings on the official website of the company. This is the occasion for him to take a look back at major events that happened during the past year, and mention important things coming the following year. Wireless Gaming Device
Today, the FCC issued a radio test report for a mysterious unannounced “Wireless Game Device”. The model number is HAC-016, which implies it’s related to the Nintendo Switch (HAC is the code for the Nintendo Switch). It’s not the main unit, as that would be HAC-001. So what else could it be? Some sort of accessories? A smaller form factor? Something else?
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Nintendo is ready to talk about it, as Nintendo set the short-term confidentiality release date to… June 18th, 2017. In other words, the documents will not be made public until that date, implying that it will be revealed by then.
