Monster Strike: details and screenshots for the protagonist
A few weeks ago, mixi promised new details about Monster Strike 3DS on a weekly basis. It looks like the company has picked up Monday for those weekly updates, which means it’s already time for a new one! This week, we get a good look at Homura Ren, the protagonist, and a bit of the story.
As mentioned previously, Monster Strike takes place in a town called Kaminohara. Homura Ren, the protagonist, actually lived there when he was a child, but he has absolutely no recollection of that time (for some unknown reason). On the day he moved back, he broke his smartphone: quite naturally, he brings it to a shop in order to repair it.
When he gets it back, he notices a strange application called Monster Strike was installed on it. He launches it, and then, Oregon (one of the monsters) suddenly pops out of the screen and tells Ren he has a very important mission for him. At the same time, some strange Monster Gates start appearing in town, impacting the people who live there.
Why did Homura Ren lost the memories of his time in Kaminohara? It looks like that memory loss and the current events are linked… but how? Obviously, it’s something players will have to find out by themselves by talking to the various characters, and solving the mysteries across town.

Homura Ren is described as a very friendly individual, who gets on well with other people. His favorite food is Yakiniku (barbecue), Takoyaki, Curry, and Gyudon. Overall, he’s a pretty ordinary junior highschool student.
