Monster Hunter Rise: Street Fighter collab. announced for this week

After Okami last month, Monster Hunter Rise is about to get its 3rd Capcom collab. later this week. On Friday (August 27th), the latest Event Quest will go live. Clearing it will allow you to get the required materials to craft a new Hunter layered armour based on Akuma from the Street Fighter series!

Here’s a trailer, some details, and some pictures for this collab.:

Equip this layered armor to not only alter your hunter’s voice and appearance, but to change kunai attacks into Akuma’s iconic moves, like the Gohadoken and the Zanku Hadoken. Akuma even has his own special animation on the Quest Completed screen!

If you equip a sword & shield, your attacks will change into punches and kicks. Perform a Perfect Rush to dish out a fearsome combo, and use various Silkbind attacks to unleash moves like the Goshoryuken and the Tatsumaki Zankukyaku on unsuspecting monsters! Your pose while your weapon is drawn will change into something special as well, so make sure you grab this layered armor to see for yourself!

This isn’t the last Capcom collab.: two more are coming this Fall! They will be announced at a later date.

In order to get access to the latest Event Quests (including the one featuring the Akuma layered armour), you will need to download the latest Software update (Ver. 3.3.1). It will be available later today (North America) / tomorrow (Europe, Japan). On the same day , the latest set of stickers will be available as paid DLC.
