Monark (School JRPG) announced for Nintendo Switch, out this October in Japan
After The Caligula Effect 2 (slated for a June 24th release in Japan, and headed to Europe and North America this Fall), FuRyu have another JRPG in the works for Nintendo Switch: Monark, a “School JRPG” developed by Lancarse (who previously worked on the Etrian Odyssey series). It will be released on October 14th in Japan, with several editions:
- Regular (retail, digital): 8 470 Yen
- Limited Edition Artbook Box (retail): 18 890 Yen
- Digital Artbook Edition (digital): 18 890 Yen
The Limited Edition Artbook Box includes the following:
- special box featuring an illustration by so-bin (Limited Edition Artbook Box only)
- Artbook (80 pages)
- DLC items
- Original Soundtrack CD

The game takes place in Shinmikado Gakuen, a school surrounded by an eerie fog and cut off from the rest of the world by a mysterious force field. The protagonist and his 4 friends (called Buddies) get to fight against a terrible and evil power lurking in the school.
