Kamikaze Lassplanes (Visual Novel x Shoot ’em up) lands on Nintendo Switch this week

Crunching Koalas has announced that Kamikaze Lassplanes will launch this week on Nintendo Switch. Originally developed by Inky Dreams, this game is a unique blend of two radically different genres: Visual Novel and Shoot ’em Up.

Kamikaze Lassplanes will launch on March 7th in Europe and North America, and is already available for digital pre-order in both regions.

Here’s some details and screenshots:

Kamikaze Lassplanes is a genre-busting action visual novel from Inky Dreams, a small indie studio from Poland dedicated to creating projects that break the mold. The game is a mix of hand-drawn anime VN and story-driven arcade shoot-’em-up gameplay with crucial story-branching decisions that lead to different gameplay and story outcomes, both for war, romance, and the protagonists’ fate.

Meet and fall for Alba Trossé and Hannah Brandenburg – charismatic Lassplanes who transform into deadly war planes you pilot. Face the Imperial fleet together in challenging arcade shoot-’em-up encounters and discover the secret behind the mysterious “Light” technology developed in the Kingdom’s laboratories.

Behind the silly facade, Kamikaze Lassplanes is an engaging, dark story about exploring humanity in a world where every rose has its thorn, and every tool can become a weapon. When nothing is as it seems, your beliefs are shattered as you uncover the truth—and perhaps you’ll pay the ultimate price for it.
