[Japan] Miitopia: release date revealed, Nintendo Direct on Nov. 5th, special preview + pre-loading

As announced earlier this week, Miitopia was mentioned during the Animal Crossing Direct presentation in Japan. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see the game in action, though we did get a couple of announcements.

The first one: there will be a Miitopia Direct this Saturday (November 5th), at the following time:

  • Europe: 12PM
  • UK: 11AM
  • North America (EST): 7AM
  • North America (PST): 4AM
  • Japan: 8PM

The presentation will be hosted by Ryunosuke Kamiki (a famous actor and voice actor), and will be streamed live on NicoNico, but also on YouTube:

Right after the Animal Crossing Direct, Nintendo released a special preview on the Nintendo eShop in Japan. It actually lets you chose the Mii that appear in it, but it doesn’t have any gameplay at all (this isn’t a demo version).

Here’s two videos of that special preview:

And here’s some pictures:

This Miitopia preview requires 357 blocks / 44.6MB of free space on your SD Card. You can download it from the Nintendo eShop or via Nintendo’s website (only in Japan).

If you’re already convinced by the game (despite not knowing anything about it), you can already pre-purchase and pre-load it from the Nintendo eShop or Nintendo’s website (again, only in Japan). The game costs 5 076 Yen, and requires 6 815 blocks / 851.8MB of free space on your SD Card.

Here’s the only screenshots we have of the game right now (more will be added on Saturday):

Finally, Nintendo announced that Miitopia would be released on December 8th in Japan. No European or North American release has been confirmed so far, but there’s no doubt there will be one later down the line.
