Famitsu

Top 5 Software

After a strong debut in October, Super Mario Party Jamboree saw strong sales in November with around 168.000 units sold. And with the holiday season just around the corner, sales aren’t likely to slow down any time soon (at least, not before Week 2, 2025)!

As for Mario & Luigi: Brothership, it’s off to a decent start with around 89.000 units sold during the first few weeks. The upcoming holiday seasons will be key for this game, and given how many copies they ordered (around 40-60% of stock remains to be sold), retailers certainly are expecting that sales will pick up in December and at New Year!

Publishers

For once, Nintendo was not the most successful publisher in Japan, but the company still sold plenty of games in November: over 465.000 units to be precise. Super Mario Party Jamboree and Mario & Luigi: Brothership account for over half of those sales, with the usual evergreen titles making up the rest.

As for Konami, they rank #3 in the Publishers ranking with 54.000 units sold. The two Momotaro Dentetsu games and the latest Power Pros games make up most of those sales.

  1. Square-Enix: 988.000
  2. Nintendo: 465.000
  3. KONAMI: 54.000

Hardware

Hardware-wise, Nintendo Switch sales were fairly stable in November with 255.401 units sold (a very slight increase over October sales). Months go by, and Nintendo’s aging console is still trucking along, enjoying unprecedented sales for a console well into its 8th year on the market.

With the upcoming holiday seasons, sales are bound to see a notable increase in December (especially as the tracking period will be 5 weeks for that month), though it should be far from the console’s best performance during that month.

  1. Nintendo Switch: 255.401 (previous month: 245.466)
  2. PlayStation 5: 151.370 (previous month: 47.615)
