Japan: Famitsu sales for December 2015 (Top 30 Retail + Digital)

In its latest issue, Famitsu is providing sales data for December 2015 (November 30th – January 3rd to be more precise), which includes digital sales (from the Nintendo eShop, PSN, etc.).

To the surprise of none (at least, those who have been looking at the Japanese sales charts for the past few weeks), Monster Hunter X was the best-selling game in Japan, in December. Its digital sales were quite strong, which is due to the shortages retailers faced in the first couple of weeks following launch.

At #13, we have the Wii U version of Minecrat, which is off to a good start. According to Famitsu’s estimate, it sold over 77 000 units within the first three weeks, which is pretty impressive on a platform such as the Wii U. Then again, Minecraft is a real phenomenom in Japan, and there’s no doubt a Nintendo 3DS version (at retail) would have been a sight to behold.

Unfortunately, digital sales didn’t really help Genei Ibun Roku #FE, which only sold ~2 613 units via the Nintendo eShop.
