[GC7] Fire Emblem Warriors: new characters revealed, release date, Limited Edition

A few days ago, the official Twitter account for Fire Emblem Warriors teased two new characters:

  • “That female rider”
  • “That male bow user”

Many fans speculated that those characters were Camilla and Takumi, both from Fire Emblem Fates. And it looks like they were right! Today, Nintendo revealed a new trailer on the first day of gamescom 2017, and it does confirm those two characters are in the game… but it also reveals a couple more!

You can check them out in the latest trailer for the game:

Here’s the new characters revealed in this new trailer:

  • Hinoka (voiced by Kaori Nazuka in the Japanese version)
  • Takumi (voiced by Yuuki Kaji in the Japanese version)
  • Camilla (voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro in the Japanese version)
  • Leo (voiced by Mamoru Miyano in the Japanese version)

Check out this post for the full list of confirmed characters!

But that’s not all: Nintendo has also revealed the release date for Europe and North America, which has been set to October 20th (so the usual “one month delay” that Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends got).

In Europe, the game is going to get a Limited Edition that includes the following:

  • physical copy of the game on Nintendo Switch (no LE for the New Nintendo 3DS version)
  • three-disc original soundtrack
  • character art cards

As usual, Nintendo did not provide a price for this Limited Edition.

Nothing was announced for North America, but there’s no doubt Nintendo will make an announcement at PAX West in a few weeks. Naturally, the previously-announced Tiki and Chrom amiibo will be released on the same day as the game itself.

Finally, here’s the pre-order bonus for Fire Emblem Warriors in Hong Kong… a Nintendo Switch pouch!

And as we expected, the game will be featured in Famitsu magazine this week, with details about the new characters but also the Pair Up system:

Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch, New 3DS) comes out on September 28th in Japan, and October 20th in Europe and North America. The Upcoming Games page has been updated!
