Fire Emblem Warriors: a few more details (characters, magic, story) and screens

Following yesterday’s article in Famitsu and the official website update, Koei-Tecmo shared a few additional details about Fire Emblem Warriors today. There’s nothing groundbreaking, just some various tidibts that are numerous enough to warrant their own post!

First, here’s all the details about the 4 new characters from Fire Emblem Fates, introduced in the gamescom 2017 trailer:

  • Hinoka (voiced by Kaori Nazuka in the Japanese version), a Pegasus Knight who uses Spears in battle, while riding a winged horse;
  • Takumi (voiced by Yuuki Kaji in the Japanese version), an Archer who wields the Fujin Yumi in battle;
  • Camilla (voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro in the Japanese version), a Malig Knight who wields axes in battle, while riding a dragon;
  • Leo (voiced by Mamoru Miyano in the Japanese version), a Dark Knight who uses Brynhildr in battle, while riding a horse.

Koei-Tecmo also shares a few tidbits about the story, which sees Ryouma of Hoshido and Xander of Nohr engaged in battle once again. However, they end up calling a truce in order to co-operate, and go back to their own world.

In one scene, we see Corrin, Ryouma, and Xander suddenly glowing with a mysterious blue light (just like Chrom in a previous trailer), and then, a mysterious jewel is sucked into the Shielf of Flames.

Finally, we have details about magic attacks. Just like in regular Fire Emblem games, those are pretty effective against certain types of enemies with low magic defense, such as armoured knights for example. Robin and Leo are two characters that use magic to attack. Their attack power depends on their Magic Attack stat.

Here’s the latest screenshots for the game:

Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch, New 3DS) comes out on September 28th in Japan, and October 20th in Europe and North America.
