Fire Emblem Heroes: Nintendo to start cracking down on “improper use” of the app, issue with Ver. 1.1.0

Today, Nintendo sent a global notification in Fire Emblem Heroes, informing users they would soon begin to crack down on “improper use” of the app. The notification doesn’t specifically say what the “improper use” entails, but there’s no real doubt it involves cheating.

Nintendo explains that since launch, they have detected “improper use from some players”, and that countermeasures are currently being employed to address this. This includes temporarily banning users, and limiting their access to some of the game’s features.

While you obviously know if you’ve been doing something “bad” or not, you will be able to check if you’re impacted by a temp ban by checking out your Personal notifications. If there’s nothing in there, that means you’re all clear (or that you were not caught doing whatever you’ve been doing… yet).

Also, Nintendo made an announcement regarding an issue that popped up with Ver. 1.1.0 of Fire Emblem Heroes. Right now, if you use Bookmark data to resume where you left a match at the Arena (because the app crashed, for example), you will get impacted by the glitch. To be more precise, tyou will not get the bonus in points you usually get for using one of the Bonus Characters

Nintendo has confirmed that the development team was aware of the issue, and is currently working on finding the source of the glitch in order to fix it. Unfortunately, there’s no workaround to use in the mean time, other than making sure you keep playing until the end of each match at the Arena (no turning off the app mid-battle… though there’s nothing you can do if the app crashed).
